Financial Preparation for Retirement

Are you ready to retire, but not sure that you are financially prepared? This course focuses on four major financial questions: Do I have enough money to retire? Where will I live when I retire? How should I manage my assets and income in retirement? Will I be able to pay for health care costs? You will calculate retirement expenses, income, and assets to make sure that you won’t outlive your money. We will look at selling, keeping, gifting, exchanging, and downsizing your home in Ohio and other states of interest. We will discuss how to manage your assets for income and growth, including the impact of taxes during retirement. Finally, we will look at health care coverage and long-term care. Retirement is not a single event but a series of stages for which you want to be prepared. 8 hours (Textbook required)
