Continuing Education for
International Students

Continuing education is designed for the nondegree seeking adult learner who wishes to take courses for personal enrichment, professional development, prerequisites for a degree program or certification. An international student is a non-U.S. citizen who is not a permanent resident, refugee or asylee of the U.S.

International students should complete this application if they:

bullet hold a secondary school diploma or a GED;
bullet are 24 years of age or have had at least a four-year break between secondary  school and applying for admission to Ohio State through CEd;
bullet are an international student;
bullet have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale;
bullet are in good standing with other colleges or universities attended.
(There are exceptions to these general guidelines, so if you have a question, contact the International Admissions Counselor in Undergraduate Admissions and First Year Experience.)

Ready to get started? Just return a completed application form (click here for the form) and, if you haven’t been admitted to Ohio State in the past, pay the $50 application fee. We’ll be in touch with you to follow up. You also may make an appointment with an academic advisor by calling (614) 292-8860. International students must complete an affidavit of financial support that confirms sufficient funds and financial support for the terms of study through CED.
