This course will allow the student to have the basic language skills of writing, reading, and understanding Arabic. The course will present many different aspects of Arabic culture. Discussions of Arabic culture and customs make the course particularly useful for business people and travelers. It will make any journey to the Middle East more beautiful and successful. 16 hours

Introduction
The first 4 letters of the Arabic alphabet: pronunciation and writing; personal pronouns
Culture: Saying hello

Week 2:
Repetition; four more letters: pronunication, writing, personal pronounds; vocalization

Week 3:
Repetition, four new letters: Pronunciation, writing and learning short idioms. Grammar: verbs

Week 4:
Repetition, four new letters: pronunciation, writing and learning short sentences

Week 5:
Four new letters; practicing writing, singular and plural

Week 6:
Four new letters. practicing and memorizing

Week 7:
The last four letters, short communication

Week 8:
Grammar: Gender (possessive pronouns)
